Film FAQ
Thank you for being here, and welcome.
I’m so excited to share more about my process and why choosing analog photography can be the most beautiful way to preserve your story. Whether film is the perfect addition alongside Super 8 or the entirety of how your day is documented, it’s about more than just images — it’s about how it feels to be remembered this way.
-
Yes. I work exclusively with 35mm, 120, Polaroids, and Super 8. I believe film preserves not just how things looked, but how they felt. A digital second shooter may be included for added coverage, but my process is rooted in analog.
-
35mm and 120 are still film formats, each with their own texture and look (35mm has more grain and intimacy, 120 has depth and richness). Super 8 is motion film — think old home movies, nostalgic and alive. Together, they tell a story that feels timeless.
-
A digital second shooter is available in my wedding packages for coverage support, but the heart of what I do and what you’re hiring me for — is film.
-
All-day coverage on film, Polaroids, a keepsake from me, and your choice of a complimentary engagement session or rehearsal dinner coverage. Super 8 packages include preview reels, your full-day film, and stills pulled from motion footage.
-
Yes, whether it’s across California, out of state, or international, I love documenting love stories in new places. Travel fees vary depending on location, but I keep it as simple and transparent as possible.
-
That’s the best part — you don’t have to “know how” to be in front of the camera. My approach is guided but natural, so you’ll feel comfortable and seen, without forced posing.
-
Film takes time, that’s the beauty of it. Generally, you’ll receive your gallery within 6–8 weeks and your Super 8 within 8–10 weeks. I always send sneak peeks or Polaroid scans sooner so you have something to hold you over.
-
Yes! As long as it’s before your wedding date, you can upgrade your package with Super 8, additional Polaroids, or extended coverage.
-
Yes. Most couples choose to break payments into 3 parts: the retainer, halfway before the wedding, and the final balance due before the event.
-
Once you inquire, I’ll send over a proposal and contract. A signed contract and retainer officially secure your date. From there, we start dreaming together about your day.
